Within the framework of the cost optimising process, the customer has, on the basis of the beginning of cooperation in the Epsilon II project, decided for the transfer of half a dozen of tools for plastic component injection and manufacture of metal holders for the entire carrying assembly of armrests integrated in the middle back seat in the new JAGUAR XJ model. The transfer of tools will be carried out in stages. In the first step, the customer will carry out the transfer of three tools for plastic products, followed by the transfer of the remaining tools for three metal and other plastic products. Metal products will be manufactured in the facilities in Preloge and Ločica. In accordance with the project's future plan, the first three tools will be transferred to the facility in Slovenj Gradec in the beginning of November this year. Injection of first pieces for regular production will begin in the beginning of January 2010. As the new JAGUAR XJ model belongs to the high price segment, the quality requirements will be very strict. As regards the new technologies not yet known in the company FORI, we will, through the project, learn the procedure of applying polyamide fibres to plastic surfaces ("flocking") and the procedure of machine riveting the classical rivets without nails.
